Pledge of Allegiance
Chairman will call the meeting to order- Chairman called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm.
Electors in attendance: Kevin Hoffman, Dee Rott, Fran Rott, Kathy Maly, Jon Rossing, Mark Krohn, Richard Kientopf, Jan Harris, and Jessica Laeseke
Chairman requests motion on how to vote- Motion by Laeseke with a second by Rossing to vote by hand. All aye carried.
Approve the April 16, 2024 minutes- Motion by Kientopf with a second by Harris to approve the 2024 minutes. Abstention by Mark Krohn. Motion carried.
Review the 2025 Financial Report (Clerk’s report)- Laeseke presented the year ending Financials for 2024 and financial report for Quarter 1 of 2025. Motion by Kientopf with a second by Maly to approve the Financial Report. Abstention by Mark Krohn. Motion carried.
New Business:
- Set monthly meeting schedule May 2025 – April 2026. Motion by Harris with a second by Kientopf to meet at 7:00 pm from May – October and 6:00 pm from November to April on the second Thursday of the month. Abstention by Mark Krohn. Motion carried.
- What plans/goals does the Akan Town Board have for the rest of 2025 and into early 2026 for the township
- Maly said fixing the gravel roads and maintain the seal coat roads, Kientopf agreed
- Sandhill needs to be brought up- focus on graveling it
- We need a dump box and sub frame for the International
Motion to adjourn by Kientopf with a second by Hoffman at 6:22 pm. All aye carried.
